Role Overview The Low Voltage Estimator for Data Center Projects will focus on preconstruction pricing, scope development, and risk assessment for ICT/ELV systems on mission-critical data center builds. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive estimates from early conceptual budgets through to Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals. The estimator will also provide support for design-assist efforts, offering early pricing and constructability input when needed. Success in this position requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of scope, and the ability to identify and manage risk. Candidates should have experience with the unique requirements of data centers, such as high-density builds, complex pathways, redundancy, phased turnovers, and tight schedules. The ability to interpret drawings and specifications and translate them into clear, defensible estimate packages is essential. What You Will Do Develop low voltage estimates for data center projects, from conceptual through detailed phases. Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for typical data center low voltage systems, including: Structured cabling (fiber and copper, various connectors, trunking, patching, cross-connects) Backbone, horizontal, ISP and OSP distribution Pathways (ladder rack, basket tray, J-hooks, sleeves, firestopping, grounding/bonding as needed) Equipment and spaces (MDF/IDF, MMR, data centers, telecom enclosures, cabinets) Security and safety systems (ACS, VSS/CCTV, intrusion, intercom where included) BMS/EPMS interfaces for ICT, where coordination is required Create detailed scope narratives, including inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and clarifications.
