Qualifications Proven experience in sales or brand representation within a retail or specialty environment. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer engagement. Ability to effectively communicate technical product information to both retail staff and consumers. Experience in organizing community events or marketing activations is preferred. Knowledge of outdoor and performance footwear and apparel is a plus. Strong analytical skills to gather market insights and feedback. Willingness to travel within the assigned territories as needed.

About the job

As a Performance Technical Representative for KEEN, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and enhancing brand awareness across our performance product lines within your designated territories. This position is centered on cultivating strong partnerships with run specialty, outdoor specialty, and strategic retail partners. Your responsibilities will include delivering impactful product education, engaging in-store interactions, and organizing community-driven events. By providing comprehensive training to retail staff and facilitating consumer activations and demonstrations, you will ensure consistent messaging and effective execution in the field. Your regular interactions with retail partners and consumers will also enable you to gather valuable market insights, contributing to the ongoing development of our brand and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territories to drive sales and bolster brand recognition among specialty and strategic retail partners.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with retail accounts, aligning product education and in-store engagement with the needs of both retailers and consumers.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers to identify and support opportunities that enhance brand visibility and drive sales performance.
  • Provide comprehensive product training to retail staff and consumers, focusing on KEEN's running, hiking, and performance sandal offerings.
  • Develop engaging in-store activities to boost product awareness and ensure brand presence within retail spaces.
  • Organize and execute innovative running events to enhance sales and brand awareness in run specialty retailers.
  • Represent KEEN at various marketing events such as trail races, expos, and trade shows on both regional and national levels.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Merchandising teams to ensure streamlined communication and provide frontline feedback.
  • Maintain regular reports on progress towards defined goals and adapt strategies as needed in response to changing retail environments.
