About the job
About Blumen
Blumen is transforming the landscape of infrastructure development across America.
With over $2 trillion in infrastructure initiatives currently stalled in regulatory hurdles, every power plant, transmission line, data center, and pipeline is challenged by the complexities of navigating myriad federal, state, and local regulations.
Our cutting-edge AI platform consolidates over 1,500 geospatial data layers and regulatory insights, enabling us to produce expert-level permitting, siting, and compliance analyses in mere hours instead of weeks. We partner with publicly traded energy companies and developers who are laying the groundwork for America’s energy transition.
The Opportunity
Blumen is establishing the regulatory intelligence framework essential for the development of energy and critical infrastructure in the United States.
We are seeking a meticulous environmental or permitting expert to help us organize and maintain a robust database of regulatory information across various jurisdictions.
This position is ideal for individuals who can seamlessly transition between detailed analysis and strategic oversight — examining zoning codes, validating environmental regulations, and shaping how this data informs automated permitting and due diligence processes.
If you have experience with permits or compliance data and are excited about modernizing how infrastructure is built, we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of permitting and regulatory datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Research and interpret environmental and land-use regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Organize and tag information to enhance automation and compliance workflows.
Identify data inconsistencies and gaps, and develop strategies for resolution.
Collaborate with engineers and analysts to convert complex regulations into structured logic.
Create internal standards and documentation to uphold data quality and coverage.
You’re a Fit If
You possess several years of experience in permitting, environmental compliance, or regulatory analysis.
You are detail-oriented yet capable of understanding complex systems.
You have a keen interest in how data and AI can streamline environmental reviews and regulatory processes.
