Key Responsibilities:Design and simulate photonic components. Conduct electromagnetic and thermal simulations (experience with Lumerical is required; knowledge of Tidy3D or similar tools is a plus). Analyze trade-offs between loss, footprint, fabrication tolerance, and performance. Design and optimize waveguides, interferometers, beam splitters, phase shifters, and reconfigurable elements.

About this Position:

Join our Integrated Photonics team based in Massy, where you'll collaborate with senior engineers, PhDs, and research interns in the design, characterization, and packaging of our PICs.

Our team manages the entire design cycle of photonic circuits, from simulation and layout to foundry collaboration and performance assessment. While fabrication is outsourced, we maintain full control over simulation depth, architectural decisions, and design-for-manufacturing strategies.

Your role will involve designing and optimizing key components of our PIC platform, converting system requirements into robust and manufacturable layouts that drive the evolution of our processors. You'll work closely with the characterization team to iteratively improve your designs based on fabrication variability and experimental feedback.

This year is set to be heavily design-focused, emphasizing enhancements in robustness against fabrication variability, increasing integration density, and preparing architectural innovations for future scalable quantum processors.
