The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in the design of specialty gas systems, bulk gas plants, and cryogenic gas systems. This position requires collaboration with diverse teams to ensure adherence to industry standards such as environmental, safety, and operational protocols, while also driving innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency and achieve cost reduction.Key Responsibilities:Process Design & Optimization:Lead the design and development of bulk and specialty gas systems throughout concept, basic, and detailed design phases.Design components of plants and piping systems focused on gas storage and distribution.Specify treatment systems, components, and piping distribution.Monitor and optimize project management KPIs related to technical systems including timeline, cost, and quality.Identify and address process bottlenecks through continuous improvement initiatives.Equipment & Technology Integration:Ensure system integration utilizing BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) to coordinate third-party designs with other facility systems and control platforms (e.g., PLC, SCADA).Prepare cost calculations for bids to clients.Evaluate and recommend equipment for semiconductor utility systems based on process requirements.Compliance & Standards:Oversee the implementation of protocols for hazardous and cryogenic gases in compliance with relevant codes and standards.Ensure adherence to industry regulations such as SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.Possess knowledge of applicable international and local standards.Collaboration & Coordination:Work collaboratively with teams, including external designers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure that gas system designs meet project requirements and timelines.Present, coordinate, and clarify planning outcomes and spatial requirements with the team and customers.Coordinate with vendors for equipment testing and manage risks to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.Provide technical project management throughout the execution phase, including coordination of interfaces.Offer technical mentorship to junior engineers and support training initiatives.Project Documentation:Understand project requirements and prepare technical documentation, including DBR, PFD, P&ID, equipment specifications, and reports.Support feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for FAB projects.
