Mindrift specializes in connecting skilled professionals with project-based AI opportunities for top-tier technology companies, concentrating on the assessment, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. This role is project-based and does not entail permanent employment.
Opportunity Overview
Contributors to our projects may engage in a variety of tasks, including:
- Creating innovative computational physics problems that replicate authentic physics research workflows;
- Designing problems that necessitate Python programming for resolution (utilizing Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Ensuring that the problems are computationally demanding and cannot be solved manually within reasonable periods (days to weeks);
- Developing problems that involve complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Formulating problems based on real-world research challenges or practical applications within the field of physics;
- Validating solutions through Python using standard physics simulation libraries;
- Documenting problem statements clearly and supplying verified correct answers.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a physicist with Python experience, interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. We seek individuals who possess:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related disciplines;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any domain-specific programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience (applied, research, or teaching experience is applicable);
- Expertise in numerical simulation methodologies;
- The ability to design problems that reflect actual physics research workflows;
- Creative problem-solving skills across various fields of physics;
- Knowledge of physics modeling and approximation techniques;
- Strong written proficiency in English (C1 or higher).
Application Process
