A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is required; a degree from an ABET-accredited program is preferred. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required. Current CPD, PE in Mechanical or FPE in the United States is preferred. LEED accreditation is a plus. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Proficient in engineering design software applications (e.g., Revit) is essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, working under the guidance of a licensed engineer and designated project leaders. Your projects may encompass new constructions and renovations across various sectors, including education, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology.
 
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Under supervision, design simple piping systems and select equipment for Plumbing/Fire Protection systems in building designs. Assist with HVAC designs as needed.
  • Utilize Revit/BIM for creating construction drawings of plumbing and fire protection systems from schematic design through to construction administration, including layout, sketches, and detailed drawings, with oversight. Perform Revit/BIM modeling for HVAC systems as required.
  • Help edit specifications for both existing and new projects.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Conduct research as assigned and address emerging issues.
  • Draft reports for review by a professional engineer.
  • Assist in compiling information to respond to RFIs and evaluate change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
  • Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which may involve physical walkthroughs of the site.
  • Coordinate specific activities related to particular project elements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
