Essential Qualifications and ExperienceThe following qualifications and experience are highly desirable, but we encourage all interested individuals to apply, as we value diverse backgrounds. Extensive experience as a Design Manager, Technical Lead, Project Manager, or Senior Engineer in ports, coastal, or maritime infrastructure projects. Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary design teams on complex maritime infrastructure initiatives. Experience in delivering design and planning for ports, marine structures, coastal infrastructure, or waterfront developments. Demonstrated capability to own and deliver work packages within major infrastructure programs. Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills, particularly with port authorities, government entities, or major infrastructure clients. Experience in coordinating teams across multiple regions.

These pivotal roles will enhance our national leadership in Ports & Maritime, particularly as we expand our senior technical, design, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design management and execution of ports and maritime infrastructure projects, which encompass port expansions, marine structures, coastal infrastructure, and waterfront developments.
  • Take ownership of work packages, ensuring accountability for scope, program, technical delivery, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with AECOM teams both nationally and globally, utilizing our design capabilities to deliver complex maritime infrastructure projects.
    Act as the primary client liaison, fostering trusted relationships with port authorities, governmental agencies, and private sector clients.
  • Oversee project delivery from inception to completion, including design and commercial management, program coordination, and multidisciplinary technical integration.
  • Provide leadership across maritime and coastal engineering disciplines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    Contribute to the global growth of AECOM’s Ports & Maritime capabilities by mentoring engineers and enhancing delivery teams.
