Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing analog and power electronics. Proficient in power stage design for various DC-DC converter topologies (e.g., discrete linear regulators, Buck, Boost, Buck-boost). Solid understanding of voltage mode control and peak current mode control theory for DC-DC converters. Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, such as Altium, OrCAD, Allegro, or Xpedition. Hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting electronics and power converters utilizing laboratory instruments like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators. Familiarity with analysis and simulation tools including SPICE, LTSPICE, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, PLECS, Simulink, MATLAB, MathCAD, ANSYS Q3D, SiWave, or HyperLynx. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

We are on the lookout for a Power Electronics Engineer II to bolster our expanding spacecraft payload development team. In this role, you will play a crucial part throughout the entire development lifecycle of cutting-edge power electronics hardware for satellites and space power systems payloads. Your contributions will range from defining power system architectures and conducting trade studies to detailed circuit design, simulation, PCB layout, verification, integration testing, and providing manufacturing support.
