Education:Master's Degree in Nursing preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. ADN Degree in Nursing considered for PN faculty only with a degree plan upon hire. Experience and Licensure:A minimum of two years of current nursing experience, nurse educator, or nurse practitioner experience in a related area is required. Possession of a current, unrestricted Kansas RN license, maintained throughout employment. Ability to obtain yearly TB tests and other immunizations or physical examinations as mandated by clinical sites, and CPR certification prior to clinical rotations. Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.

This position harmoniously blends clinical and educational environments, allowing you to utilize your expertise and extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry to enhance student success and support them in securing meaningful employment, potentially alongside you in life-saving roles!

Your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Creating and/or uploading comprehensive course syllabi to the Learning Management System.
  • Keeping students informed about course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough academic records, including course messaging in the LMS, grades, census rosters, and attendance logs.
  • Upholding industry credentials relevant to your teaching area.
  • Developing, revising, and recommending curriculum updates that align with course/program objectives and enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Actively engaging in program reviews, assessments, and course evaluations, submitting necessary information by deadlines.
