Your Mission
In the role of Principal Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping and advancing our cutting-edge data platform. This senior individual contributor position carries significant strategic impact, architectural ownership, and expectations for leadership and initiative. Our data ecosystem leverages Microsoft Fabric, and we seek someone who can champion best practices, scalability, and sustainable platform evolution. While prior Fabric experience is a plus, extensive experience with similar modern cloud data platforms is essential. This position transcends mere implementation; it demands an innovator who challenges norms, steers technical direction, and elevates the engineering standards across the team.
Your Responsibilities at UiPath
Lead and enhance the architecture of our modern data platform, specifically within a Fabric-based lakehouse environment.
Spearhead complex, cross-functional data initiatives from conception to completion with minimal supervision.
Set and uphold engineering standards, modeling best practices, and performance optimization strategies.
Design and refine scalable ELT pipelines and dimensional data models.
Ensure platform reliability, governance, and a balance of cost-performance.
Assess and integrate new tools and architectural enhancements.
Serve as a technical leader and mentor within the data organization.
Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders to translate business strategy into scalable data solutions.
What You Bring to the Team
Core Requirements:
-7+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles.
- Expert SQL proficiency (required) — advanced transformations, optimization, scalable modeling.
-Solid working knowledge of Python and/or PySpark.
- Proven ability to design and manage modern data solutions.
