Role Overview
The Principal DevOps Engineer will play a central role in shaping how Zeta Global builds, deploys, and operates software at scale. This position goes beyond traditional maintenance. The engineer will drive improvements to deployment processes, challenge current practices, and help teams across the company release code to production safely and efficiently, often multiple times per day.
The focus is on enabling true continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using methods like canary releases, blue/green deployments, incremental rollout pipelines, and feature-flag-driven releases. The role includes responsibility for designing and maintaining these systems to meet global compliance requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOC 2.
This engineer will also act as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) leader, prioritizing operational safety, incident response readiness, and platform stability as the company grows. The position influences both DevOps/SRE practices and broader software architecture decisions, aiming for streamlined operations throughout the organization.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines that enable multiple teams to deploy to production concurrently with zero downtime.
- Implement and refine advanced deployment strategies, including canary releases, blue/green deployments, rolling updates, incremental rollouts, and feature-flag-controlled releases using Statsig.
- Create self-service deployment tools so developers can manage their own releases.
