Are you ready to challenge the boundaries of environmental science?Here are the qualifications we seek:A degree (or equivalent) in ecology or a related discipline. Membership in an appropriate professional institution and progress towards or possession of Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status, as well as holding relevant protected species survey and/or mitigation licenses. Demonstrable experience leading and managing ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments through relevant professional experience. Proven record in project management, including financial oversight and stakeholder engagement. Experience in reviewing technical work and mentoring team members.

As the technical lead, you will oversee a variety of stimulating projects, providing support to your team in the ecological components of these initiatives while collaborating with our multidisciplinary experts to achieve optimal outcomes for nature and our clients.

Current projects include:

  • Major infrastructure endeavors, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
  • Diverse projects aimed at enhancing our world, such as river restoration, flood management, active travel initiatives, and urban regeneration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and delivering high-caliber ecological consultancy and advisory services for internal and external clients.
  • Managing project timelines, resource allocation, budget control, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Developing effective and practical solutions for complex ecological challenges.
  • Producing and reviewing ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species license applications.
  • Ensuring the quality of project deliverables through authorship and technical review.
  • Contributing to the advancement of our technical expertise.
