Principal Field Process Engineer (Hillsboro, OR)

The Principal Field Process Engineer (FPE) is a key senior individual contributor within ASM’s Key Account organization (Global Sales & Services), acting as the technical authority and escalation point for customer-facing process applications. This role offers high autonomy, overseeing complex new product introductions (NPI), on-site process development, and HVM transfers, while serving as the primary technical liaison between ASM Business Units and customer process teams.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading technical delivery and escalation for NPI of advanced deposition processes and hardware (thermal ALD, plasma ALD, Area Selective Deposition).
  • Guiding complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and cross-functional resolutions with customers, Business Units, and field teams.
  • Driving on-site process and hardware development, including DOE-based experiments and continuous improvement initiatives.
