About the job
- Lead the mechanical development of precision testing units and automation testing equipment.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, detailed designs, select standard components, and perform tolerance analysis; produce 3D/2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), assembly manuals, and buy-off documents.
- Facilitate regular design reviews with team members to optimize designs addressing functionality, cost, timelines, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Engage with vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of components.
- Oversee prototype assembly, buy-off, debugging, evaluation, design improvements, and qualification processes.
- Conduct Failure Analysis (FA) and root cause investigations through thorough research.
- Collaborate with global teams across the US, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia for product and equipment development.
- Work alongside mechanical simulation, testing, electrical, servo, software, and firmware teams to innovate new products and equipment.
- Support the ramp-up of new products and equipment in international markets.
