Key Attributes for Success:Chartered Engineer with relevant professional registration, or transferable registration, with equivalent recognition from a professional body also considered. Preferably 10-12+ years of experience in a Building Services consultancy or significant design experience as a Senior/Project Engineer within the Mechanical Contracting domain. A proven track record in technical design and project delivery, while fostering strong client relationships. A thorough understanding of Building Services projects and Standards, capable of imparting technical knowledge to clients, junior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience in managing multiple technical projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.

Join our expanding defence portfolio as a Principal Mechanical Engineer in our Building Engineering team. We are in search of a seasoned technical leader who excels at providing innovative design solutions across various sectors.

While our preferred location is Adelaide, we also offer opportunities in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Your Impact:

  • Leverage your extensive mechanical design expertise to achieve exceptional, cost-effective results in key sectors including health, defence, transport, data centres, sports, and other significant building projects across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Take charge of mechanical design packages for major client projects, ensuring technical excellence through meticulous design reviews and compliance checks.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, aiding in their technical advancement and nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement.
  • Establish and sustain strong relationships with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project outcomes and foster repeat business.
