What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Program Manager to lead our engineering teams focused on Flight Control Systems (FCS). This pivotal role involves driving deliverables for FCS architecture across various systems engineering teams, encompassing schedule management, resource allocation, risk assessment, and integration of flight-critical software and hardware. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex, safety-critical product development and experience in control law design, hardware components, specialized aerospace suppliers, and FAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent workstreams from initial concept through to production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance
- Create and maintain program schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies
- Drive technical decisions and conduct trade studies related to FCS design and development
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts for FCS components
- Align program objectives with the overarching company strategy
Technical Leadership:
- Oversee the integration of the FCS with other aircraft systems (e.g., propulsion, navigation, vehicle management)
- Conduct technical reviews and design validation activities focused on flight-critical components
- Lead trade studies and discussions in collaboration with stakeholders
- Manage FCS functional, performance, and safety requirements
- Drive verification and validation of FCS requirements through simulation and flight testing
- Facilitate risk management and cost-reduction initiatives
