The Sensors Division at Systems Technology Research (STR) is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge sensor technologies that bolster national security. We specialize in a diverse array of applications including airborne, spaceborne, and surface-based radar systems, electronic warfare, underwater acoustics, hyperspectral imaging, and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensing. Our interdisciplinary efforts encompass various technical domains such as RF analog/digital hardware, acoustic technologies, advanced signal processing algorithms, machine learning, systems analysis, and real-time embedded processing.
The Algorithms, Processing, and Experimentation (APEX) Group is dedicated to innovating RF/radar modes, applications, and advanced signal processing techniques. We aim to transition these technologies into practical applications for RF systems, specifically tailored to meet the nuanced needs of our Defense partners (e.g., Air Force, Space Force, Navy, DARPA) and the Intelligence Community.
Your Role as Principal Program Manager:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager, ideally with a background in RF sensing systems, system integration, and advanced engineering. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to initiate and manage a diverse portfolio of programs in a fast-paced acquisition environment focused on swift, impactful, and agile solutions. Your strengths in leading geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams, engaging with senior leadership, and fostering a collaborative work atmosphere will be critical to your success. You will demonstrate a comprehensive proficiency in program management and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a portfolio of programs dedicated to mode development and integration within RF sensing systems.
- Manage multiple programs effectively, balancing cost, schedule, and technical requirements while tracking performance metrics.
- Lead proposal writing and capture initiatives, ensuring high-quality submissions through effective team collaboration and adherence to proposal processes.
- Formulate strategies to introduce mode innovations to new government and industry clients while safeguarding intellectual property.
- Create statements of work for subcontractors and supervise their execution to ensure compliance with project goals.
- Provide regular updates and program briefs to Group and Division leadership.
- Cultivate a collaborative work environment emphasizing clear communication and teamwork.
