Job Description The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager to set up, manage, and close out projects at either the Regional office or job site. This role is crucial for achieving project objectives through effective planning, scheduling, and execution of project activities from inception to completion. This is an entry-level construction management position. Adhere to all WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety programs. Actively engage in safety protocols and measures on assigned projects. Review contract terms, scope of work, and special provisions; ensure project team members are informed. Assist with procurement and buyout processes for materials, subcontractor services, and engineering quotes. Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings. Support and visit assigned job sites while participating in necessary job meetings. Evaluate change requests and update project budgets accordingly. Compile, review, and report weekly production metrics. Discuss weekly job cost reports with the project Foreman and team. Prepare billing documentation and approve invoices for payment. Monitor project progress and financial expenditures to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. Assist in the implementation of project schedules. Coordinate warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, and project closeout documentation.
