About the job

Red 6 is a pioneering startup at the forefront of Augmented Reality (AR) technology, revolutionizing synthetic air combat training. Our flagship technology, which powers the Airborne Tactical Augmented Reality System (ATARS), allows pilots to encounter the cognitive challenges of flying while providing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor settings.

The Role

We are in search of a Principal Systems Engineer to play a critical role in the development, integration, and verification of the ATARS throughout its entire product lifecycle. This position involves comprehensive system development, including requirements development and traceability, architecture definition, interface management, hardware/software integration, and leading formal design milestone reviews. The Principal Systems Engineer will collaborate in a cross-functional environment, working alongside hardware, software, optics, testing, and airworthiness teams to guarantee the technical performance, compliance, and mission readiness of complex integrated systems.
