Strong desire to define new spatial technology for use by GIS practitioners and the general user community. Programming background with languages such as C#, Java, and JavaScript. Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of customer requests, industry standards, and specifications to determine requirements and translate them into effective software designs.
  • Collaborate daily with developers to:
    • Ensure focused development goals are maintained.
    • Coordinate technical and design solutions for features and functions.
    • Document comprehensive software functions within the product matrix.
    • Create public-facing samples and usage patterns for new functions.
  • Establish and execute robust test workflows, including the creation and upkeep of test harnesses.
  • Consolidate software functionality, features, and capacity into effective product documentation.
  • Evaluate product quality and readiness for release.
  • Act as a product liaison:
    • Communicate goals and progress with various collaborating teams.
    • Collaborate on the product narrative.
    • Address inquiries regarding product capabilities.
    • Prepare presentations and demonstrations.
    • Assist in preparing for conferences.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technologies in mapping, geodata management, or geoprocessing projects.
  • Proven creative problem-solving skills and the ability to propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including strong presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for software quality and excellence.
  • Desire to innovate new spatial technologies for GIS practitioners and the broader user community.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field.

  • Professional software product development experience.
