Position OverviewThe Stringer Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and precise operation of the Stringer machine. This position requires a blend of production knowledge, technical skills, and mechanical competence to guarantee consistent product quality, optimal equipment uptime, and high first-time-through (FTT) rates. The operator will monitor the performance of the Stringer, utilize Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), perform hands-on preventive and autonomous maintenance, and assist in troubleshooting minor issues under the direction of maintenance and engineering teams. The work schedule consists of 12-hour rotating shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and oversee stringer machinery, ensuring optimal performance and throughput.Load materials while visually inspecting solar cells and confirming product quality against defined standards.Navigate and operate HMIs and numerical control (NC) equipment for machine control, diagnostics, and basic troubleshooting.Conduct hands-on preventive and autonomous maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of critical components.Identify, communicate, and assist in resolving basic machine faults to minimize downtime, escalating issues as necessary.Accurately record hourly production and performance data, reporting any deviations or irregularities.Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to implement process improvements and corrective measures.Adhere to established safety, quality, and operational procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Assist in training and onboarding new operators on best practices related to stringer operation and maintenance.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Lead Hand and Supervisor.
