Qualifications We Seek2-5 years of post-graduate experience in civil/site infrastructure design. Familiarity with Austroads and local council/authority guidelines (or a willingness to learn). Developing skills in stormwater management (pit and pipe systems) along with basic understanding of earthworks and water/wastewater design. An interest in Water Sensitive Urban Design principles and their application in stormwater solutions is advantageous. Experience with Department of Defence projects is highly regarded but not mandatory. Detail-oriented with a process-driven approach, demonstrating a commitment to quality and structured deliverables. A collaborative team player who is comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams and proactively asking questions.

We are seeking a dedicated Professional Civil Engineer specializing in Civil and Site Infrastructure to join our dynamic team in Perth. This role is ideal for an engineer with 2 to 5 years of post-graduate experience looking to advance their career in infrastructure design.

You will play a crucial role in the development of site infrastructure design packages for various projects, contributing your expertise to stormwater management, earthworks, and fundamental water/wastewater designs. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and learning from experienced engineers will be vital as you enhance your technical skills.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing specific segments of civil/site infrastructure projects under moderate supervision, adhering to established budgets and timelines.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret engineering data through established procedures.
  • Engage in routine design tasks that involve calculations, modeling, and fundamental testing.
  • Support the delivery of significant infrastructure components, including:
    • Stormwater design (including pit and pipe layouts, hydraulic assessments, and minor drainage systems)

    • Bulk earthworks assistance (including grading plans and cut/fill calculations)

    • Basic water and wastewater infrastructure (including reticulation layouts and design verifications)

    • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) support as necessary (e.g., assisting in concept designs and documentation)

  • Propose innovative solutions to emerging challenges, ensuring early escalation for prompt resolution while applying experiences from previous tasks.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in calculations, drawings, models, or inputs for swift resolution.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding project interfaces, site constraints, and constructability concerns.
  • Provide day-to-day mentorship and informal guidance to junior engineers as appropriate.
