The Professional Services Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the Project team by providing specialized knowledge and expertise for various project implementations and extended client engagements. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, demonstrate initiative, and effectively meet customer requirements. This role is critical in upholding the organization's standards for customer service while ensuring that projects are delivered with utmost compliance and quality. The ability to handle high-pressure situations, such as client outages, is essential, and the engineer must consistently deliver outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve 70% billable hours per week through direct involvement in client dispatch and project work.
- Travel to client locations as needed to support the project team; non-travel days will be spent either on-site or in a mutually agreed remote location.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients and customers.
- Collaborate with the project team to accomplish the objectives outlined in the project statement of work.
- Gather and analyze project data to produce status reports against established milestones and suggest future actions.
- Review production, malfunction, and maintenance reports to identify and resolve issues.
- Evaluate project status against the planned schedule, pinpoint actual or potential problems, and facilitate solutions to ensure timely project completion.
- Manage personal utilization in project work to direct hours towards productive, billable tasks.
- Perform other related duties as required, including on-site dispatch work and managing service tickets within the project team queue, responding within agreed timeframes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot ticket logs, tracking the nature and resolution of problems, and perform all levels of routing incident analysis.
- Serve as the first level technical escalation point to assist junior engineers in troubleshooting technical challenges and provide solutions, escalating to senior engineers when necessary.
- Interact with multiple advanced engineering groups and vendors to escalate technical issues, provide updates to clients, and drive incidents to resolution, often collaborating with more than one group simultaneously.
