Role overview
The Program Manager for Defense Support Services leads the execution of complex support programs in Washington, D. C. This onsite role requires an active Secret clearance. The position covers all phases of program management, from cost control and scheduling to performance tracking and subcontractor oversight. Direct client engagement and risk evaluation are central to the work. The Program Manager acts as the main point of contact for government stakeholders, ensuring all contractual requirements are met and that technical, operational, and financial results align with program objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee program cost, schedule, and performance metrics
- Manage subcontractors and assess program risks
- Serve as the primary liaison with government clients
- Ensure compliance with all contract terms and government regulations
- Align technical and operational deliverables with program goals
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing major defense acquisition programs (ACAT I-IV)
- Strong understanding of Navy and Department of War regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Active Secret clearance
- Ability to work onsite in Washington, D. C.
