RequirementsMust be a U. S. citizen and fulfill one of the following criteria:A) Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent 20 years of relevant experience in Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, or Laser program management. B) Hold a bachelor's degree combined with 15 years of relevant experience in the aforementioned fields. C) Have a master's degree along with 10 years of relevant experience in the fields mentioned. Desired Qualifications:Proven program management experience overseeing large support services contracts involving multiple subcontractors. Experience with ACAT-I major weapons systems and ACAT II through IV programs. In-depth knowledge of Navy and DoW policies and guidelines. Expertise in managing cost, scheduling, and performance for effective program execution. Demonstrable supervisory and personnel management skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Role overview

The Program Manager for Defense Support Services leads the execution of complex support programs in Washington, D. C. This onsite role requires an active Secret clearance. The position covers all phases of program management, from cost control and scheduling to performance tracking and subcontractor oversight. Direct client engagement and risk evaluation are central to the work. The Program Manager acts as the main point of contact for government stakeholders, ensuring all contractual requirements are met and that technical, operational, and financial results align with program objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee program cost, schedule, and performance metrics
  • Manage subcontractors and assess program risks
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government clients
  • Ensure compliance with all contract terms and government regulations
  • Align technical and operational deliverables with program goals

Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing major defense acquisition programs (ACAT I-IV)
  • Strong understanding of Navy and Department of War regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, D. C.

Additional information

This position depends on the successful award of a contract. Employment will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The selected candidate will receive an offer contingent on this condition.
