The Program Manager - Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include developing work gauge plans, tool lists, fixture drawings, and Operator Work Instructions (OPLs). You will be responsible for layout design, material flow, and tool presentation, ensuring efficiency and productivity on the production line.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement work gauge plans, tool lists, and fixture drawings to optimize production workflows.
- Design and layout material and tool presentations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare installation drawings for tool relocation or modifications as necessary.
- Specify and procure new equipment and tooling utilizing the SOW, CAR, and SAP processes.
- Collaborate with supporting teams to provide essential information and support.
- Manage purchasing of equipment and tools to facilitate program needs.
- Utilize Team Center and Pro Planner to maintain and update work standards and instructions.
- Ensure adherence to the EEM checklist throughout the process.
- Work closely with the quality team to establish and finalize control plans.
- Oversee the purchase, calibration, and installation of torque tools as per plant specifications.
- Coordinate the installation and startup of all utilities required for project support.
- Manage the acquisition and installation of necessary lifting equipment.
- Specify and oversee the procurement of logistics delivery solutions.
- Purchase and install all fixtures and non-torque hand tools.
- Collaborate with logistics on specifications for purchasing part bins and labeling parts.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished subassemblies to the plant and manage recurring part deliveries.
- Develop and source returnable transport carts to ensure damage-free delivery of subassemblies to the plant.
- Document and update material flow routes according to revised processes.
- Populate the PFEP form for the logistics team.
