The Manufacturing Production team oversees essential activities that underpin the manufacturing process, including operating equipment, assembling products, conducting quality control, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. The Manufacturing Training and Development team plays a pivotal role in arming employees with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to excel. This team is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that enhance technical proficiency, ensure compliance, and promote career advancement within the organization.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are shaping the future of defense manufacturing, starting with how we train and develop our workforce. The Technician Trainer Program Manager will oversee the design, coordination, and execution of technician training programs at our Ohio Arsenal site. This position serves as a bridge between strategic planning and execution, working closely with production, quality, and safety teams to identify business needs. Additionally, this role will lead a small team of trainers to deliver impactful learning solutions that enhance skills, capabilities, and confidence throughout our workforce.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assess Training Needs: Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations leaders to pinpoint skill gaps, establish learning priorities, and align training with site and business objectives.
- Design and Develop Training: Create or modify technician and leadership training content, materials, and hands-on learning experiences to address site-specific requirements.
- Scope & Manage Learning Projects: Take ownership of training project plans from needs analysis and design through delivery, resource planning, and post-training evaluation.
- Deliver & Facilitate Training: Lead technician and leadership development programs; mentor team trainers in delivering engaging and effective training sessions.
