Job Overview

As a Project Civil Engineer specializing in site design at Olsson, you will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles across a range of projects. This role requires you to be a registered professional engineer, overseeing key objectives, addressing critical issues, and guiding innovative concepts and policies. You will also supervise, coordinate, and assess the work of engineers or technicians, tackling complex assignments that necessitate the creation of new techniques and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops planning and design documents in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Conducts process design calculations, prepares cost assessments, and utilizes economic analyses for alternative evaluations.
  • Assists in formulating project scopes and schedules, completing initiation paperwork, and conducting budget reviews and progress reports.
  • Coordinates with other Olsson teams on projects; manages design components; guides team members on design tasks; maintains comprehensive project documentation; updates project managers on progress and challenges; collaborates with clients; and participates in client meetings.
  • Supports marketing and business development efforts, including proposal preparation.
  • May assume project manager responsibilities for smaller projects.
  • Independently handles assignments on intricate projects.
  • Oversees the work of assistant and associate professional staff and technical personnel; may supervise interns or technical staff.
