Job Description
As a Project Engineer at Olsson, you will engage in multidisciplinary design services for various land development projects, including mixed-use, commercial, and residential sectors, as well as municipal and industrial projects. Your responsibilities will encompass engineering and project management from concept to completion, preparing planning and design documents, and fulfilling client requirements. You will collaborate with various teams within Olsson, including technical and professional staff, and may need to travel to job sites and attend client meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create planning and design documents within your engineering discipline.
- Conduct process design calculations, prepare cost estimates, and perform economic analyses for alternative comparisons.
- Support or develop project scopes of work, schedules, and budget reviews while maintaining progress reports.
- Coordinate projects with other Olsson teams, manage design tasks, maintain detailed project records, and communicate progress with project managers.
- Assist in marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing.
- Potentially serve as project manager for smaller projects.
- Independently manage complex project assignments.
- Coordinate the efforts of assistant and associate professionals, as well as technical staff, and may supervise student or technical interns.
