Minimum Required Qualifications:3-5 years of professional experience in program and/or project controls within a construction program. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis. Experience with the complete project life cycle. Strong understanding of cost/schedule management, earned value management, change management, forecasting, and risk assessment. Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, Proliance, Data-Warehouse, or other systems used in large capital programs. Experience in educational facilities is a plus.

We are seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist - Cost Engineer to oversee the integrity of project budgets and forecasts in accordance with established operating procedures. This role involves providing quality assurance to functional staff regarding financial tracking and cost performance, conducting cost variance analysis to identify trends, and mitigating potential budget impacts.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing monthly cost and progress reports, evaluating contract change orders for their impact on budgets, and ensuring compliance of invoices with established encumbrances. You will also interact with various technical leads to communicate issues that may affect budgetary constraints and ensure adherence to the district's cost management policies for capital projects with multiple funding sources.

This position may require travel to offsite project locations, and you will serve as the central point of contact for all financial matters concerning assigned colleges. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
