We are in search of a Project Engineering Manager (Civil, Environmental & Permitting) to oversee power generation initiatives that integrate gas turbines with solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) renewable energy technologies. This role is pivotal in coordinating and supervising civil engineering designs, hydrology, drainage, environmental engineering, and permitting processes, ensuring adherence to regulations and seamless integration of site, civil, and environmental specifications throughout the project's lifecycle, including development, engineering, construction, and commissioning.
In this position, you will serve as the technical representative, providing oversight of EPC contractors and engineering/environmental consultants while managing civil, environmental, and water-related risks that may affect project costs, timelines, or feasibility.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Civil Engineering Design:
- Oversee and coordinate civil engineering design tasks executed by EPC contractors or engineering consultants, focusing on site layout, grading, foundation interfaces, roadways, drainage, and underground utilities.
- Evaluate civil design deliverables for alignment with project specifications, feasibility, and compatibility with environmental and permitting requirements.
- Ensure civil designs address essential aspects such as flood protection, stormwater management, erosion control, and site accessibility.
- Assist in optimizing site layout and grading to reduce environmental impacts, earthwork quantities, and construction risks.
- Participate in civil design reviews, value engineering sessions, and feasibility assessments.
