As a Project Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial components of construction projects across Latin America. Your role will involve ensuring strict adherence to budgets, analyzing costs, and delivering vital financial insights to facilitate informed project management decisions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with financial partners will be key to your success, as will your ability to summarize financial data effectively.
Within the LATAM finance team, you will monitor management, control, and corporate aspects of projects under construction, potentially located in the Dominican Republic, Chile, or Uruguay. For the first 12 months, you will collaborate closely with the project team in the Dominican Republic until the construction phase concludes. Following this, you will transition to other construction projects in different countries where our company operates.
Manage lender relationships:
- Monitor project contractual obligations throughout the construction phase.
- Oversee debt drawdowns.
- Prepare reports for lenders.
Track project costs and treasury management:
- Closely follow financial and physical execution of project contracts.
- Control CAPEX budgets.
- Register and allocate invoices accordingly.
- Monitor equity usage.
- Manage VAT credits and hedging strategies.
- Coordinate payment campaigns effectively.
- Update and maintain the business plan.
- Prepare cash flow projections.
Facilitate communication with equity partners:
- Manage financial communications and external reporting.
Engage in project team activities:
- Participate in regular meetings.
- Contribute to reporting activities.
Handle accounting, tax, and financial closing processes:
- Act as the interface between the Internal Accounting Department, Structuration and Execution Department, and Legal Department.
- Ensure alignment between management data and accounting records.
- Provide operational information to local accountants for account closure.
- Verify tax compliance.
- Monitor formalities with local authorities.
