Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental and engineering consulting, including remedial actions and munitions response projectsBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher certificationProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdept at interacting with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractorsAbility to develop project work plans, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, etc. Willingness to travel up to 25 to 50 percent of the time to project sites as neededPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or related discipline

In this pivotal role, you will conduct comprehensive geological and environmental assessments, lead field investigations, and analyze data to bolster our project initiatives. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and scientists to identify and mitigate potential environmental risks and impacts.

Position: Project Geologist (Full-time)
Location: Santa Ana, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geological data analysis and prepare detailed technical reports
  • Assess potential environmental risks and impacts
  • Design and implement effective remediation strategies
  • Manage projects and tasks efficiently
  • Draft technical documentation
  • Lead and supervise remedial/removal actions
  • Perform field sampling and develop field procedures
  • Execute soil and groundwater investigations
  • Oversee munitions response initiatives
  • Support business development efforts and proposal drafting
  • Guide personnel and foster staff development/mentoring
  • Delegate tasks and create compelling project proposals
  • Establish a recognized area of expertise as a resource within the organization
  • Possess a thorough understanding of project management principles, including scheduling and cost control
  • Manage client expectations and maintain open communication with clients and regulatory bodies
  • Report project status to the program manager
  • Conduct field investigations and collect geological samples
  • Assist in environmental assessments and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, regulators, and various stakeholders
  • Utilize specialized software and equipment for precise data analysis and mapping
