Role Overview: Project Manager - Design to Value

Based in Rotterdam, this role sits within our Product Team, which focuses on optimizing product performance, quality, and cost. The Project Manager - Design to Value will support our mission to deliver competitive, high-value solutions for customers by leading initiatives that enhance value and reduce costs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Design-to-Value (DtV) projects focused on cost reduction and value improvement.
  • Coordinate efforts across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
  • Spot and pursue opportunities to lower costs in design, materials, processes, and specifications.
  • Turn product and technical insights into actionable projects and savings initiatives.
  • Oversee projects from initial analysis through implementation and launch.
  • Work closely with international engineering teams, including those in Germany and other Hunter Douglas locations.
  • Track project progress, risks, and outcomes, and deliver clear updates to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management, design-to-value, product engineering, or cost-driven improvement work.
  • Solid understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Background working with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Structured, analytical, and results-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
