Minimum Required Experience:A minimum of 10 years of full-time experience managing public or educational projects, with comprehensive responsibilities from project inception to close-out. Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects, particularly in educational modernization. Minimum Required Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management. Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may substitute for educational requirements. Candidates lacking formal education may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis, demonstrating extensive proficiency in related duties.

The Tsui Group is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager - Planning & Development to lead educational facility construction projects for a prominent educational client in Los Angeles County. The successful candidate will undertake a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Overseeing all aspects of pre-construction, project development, bidding, and close-out phases for assigned projects.
  • Collaborating with the design team to ensure adherence to the approved project scope.
  • Preparing and presenting status reports on project progress to upper management.
  • Coordinating with public agencies to fulfill federal and state requirements and facilitating communication with utility and government representatives for timely project execution.
  • Monitoring project budgets monthly, ensuring they accurately reflect project progress.
  • Resolving complex issues related to planning, design, and construction.
  • Reviewing project statuses to ensure compliance with the approved project scope.
  • Assisting the project team with contract management and bidding processes.
  • Implementing project policies and suggesting improvements.
  • Evaluating new developments that may impact program objectives.
  • Working with technical personnel to estimate costs for construction projects.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
