Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water team as a Project Manager at our expanding office in Bristol. Our flexible hybrid working model ensures you enjoy a balanced work environment. At AECOM, we lead in innovation, executing a diverse range of water programs and projects through enduring partnerships with major UK water companies, including Wessex Water, Welsh Water, South West Water, Thames Water, Severn Trent Water, and top-tier contractors.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead various small to medium-sized water utility projects, encompassing both wastewater and potable water schemes, primarily within long-term frameworks established with key clients. This is a rare opportunity to join a talented and diverse team committed to delivering efficient and forward-thinking solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in managing projects with full accountability for on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee project contracts, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Manage change effectively by documenting early warnings, preparing variations, and negotiating changes with clients.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines, identifying risks, dependencies, and necessary resources.
  • Evaluate and mitigate project risks and opportunities to guarantee successful outcomes.
  • Administer contracts under various frameworks, including NEC.
  • Ensure quality management processes are implemented for all project activities and outputs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to manage their interests and influence, aligning them with project goals.
  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams across the organization.
  • Supervise subcontractor and supply chain performance to meet project standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Lead bid management for design tenders on standalone projects and framework contracts.
