ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Planner will oversee work packages and projects of diverse sizes and complexities. Depending on the program, Planners may manage multiple smaller projects or a single, larger initiative. This role involves leading the planning efforts for various unrelated projects or overseeing one highly complex project within the portfolio. Planners will adeptly manage the interplay between time, cost, risk, change, reporting, and scope, ensuring the creation and maintenance of detailed schedules that empower clients with accurate data for informed decision-making. You will be crucial in meeting client objectives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead planning efforts, providing support and guidance to junior planning professionals on high-value projects.
- Create, develop, and maintain comprehensive project schedules that meet complex project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NEC or FIDIC contract processes for managing schedule data and submissions.
- Assist in generating status reports to keep management apprised of project progress.
- Collaborate with senior team members in overseeing daily management, staffing, and the implementation of Integrated Project Controls standards.
- Mitigate uncertainties, enhance efficiency, and clarify project objectives.
- Engage with the project team to define scopes of work for detailed schedules, cost assessments, and variance identification.
- Support project managers in scheduling work and coordinating team assignments.
- Evaluate project schedule progress, performance, and potential problem areas.
- Analyze float, critical path, and constraints to assess the impact of approved changes or delays, and recommend recovery strategies.
- Conduct project progress reviews.
