Job Description

As a Project Engineer on the Traffic/Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, innovative designs that address complex engineering challenges. You will leverage your expertise to conduct a wide array of traffic-related studies, including traffic operations, pedestrian circulation, and intersection improvements. This position involves making informed decisions and possibly supervising junior staff while ensuring alignment with project goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed engineering tasks, including project design and cost estimation, using your advanced knowledge and experience.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Execute complex assignments that necessitate the development of new techniques and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other teams within Olsson and guide team members on design tasks.
  • Partner with project managers to monitor project execution, report progress, and address potential challenges proactively.
  • Assist in defining project scope and timelines and participate in client meetings as necessary.
  • Oversee and mentor less experienced staff members, ensuring quality work output.
  • Maintain comprehensive project and client information within the firm's project management system.
