BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, or engineering physics. At least 1 year of experience in mechanical or fluid design, analysis, or manufacturing (internship or project work included). PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:2+ years of professional experience in propulsion systems or related fields. Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed models and designs. Strong analytical skills for structural analysis and fluid dynamics. Experience in testing and validation of aerospace components.

STARSHIP PROPULSION ENGINEER

As a Propulsion Engineer at SpaceX, you will play a vital role in designing and developing advanced fluid systems for our interplanetary vehicles, including the Starship and Super Heavy. Your expertise will contribute to creating high-performance, manufacturable systems that will redefine space exploration.

Your responsibilities will encompass sizing vehicle fluid systems, conducting detailed mechanical designs, performing structural analyses, and driving the manufacturing processes for parts and systems. You'll work on critical components such as high-pressure gas storage, cryogenic fluid management, attitude control systems, and thermal regulation solutions. Additionally, you will develop operational concepts for your systems, overseeing everything from acceptance testing to in-flight operations.
