RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machines to grind, file, or sand metal surfaces. Chase machine cut threads to precise specifications. Polish surfaces to achieve tight tolerance finishes. Clean parts post-deburr process. Conduct inspections of surface finishes, threads, and edges. Eliminate defects and smooth uneven surfaces. Use tools and fluid flow to clear chips/debris from part passages. Inspect parts with a borescope for internal defects. Interpret technical drawings and adhere to detailed work instructions. Operate forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment. Use test cell instrumentation and computer network systems as outlined in test instructions. Operate machinery including vacuum furnaces and ultrasonic immersion equipment. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Ability to achieve close tolerance dimensions as specified in blueprints. Experience with various measuring instruments, including micrometers and ultrasonic thickness gauges.
