WHAT YOU'LL DOTake ownership of the design and implementation of engine test cells. Extract actionable requirements for both development and production engine test cell designs. Design test rigs to advance propulsion subsystems. Work closely with EHS and Facilities teams to determine optimal locations for test cells and rigs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.3+ years of relevant engineering experience. Proven experience in developing test cells for gas turbine engines, rockets, or internal combustion engines. Ability to translate testing requirements into necessary facility and infrastructure designs. Proficiency in designing mechanical components using CAD software such as NX or SolidWorks, with a solid understanding of manufacturing techniques including machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and casting. Must possess U. S. Person status to access export-controlled information. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in exhaust treatment within sensitive environments. Familiarity with the development of wind tunnels or altitude test facilities. Background in combustion rigs or rotating hardware rigs. Experience with test cell instrumentation and calibration. Knowledge of proper storage and handling of jet fuel. Understanding of power budgeting and basic power electronics. Familiarity with ARP741D test cell correlation procedures.
