Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Architect will develop and unify MealSuite’s testing strategy. Current processes are fragmented, leading to delivery delays and challenges in automation. This role will design a strategic approach to testing, select tools, and build an automation framework that fits seamlessly into the software development lifecycle. The aim: strengthen technical quality, increase test coverage, and speed up releases without compromising standards. The position also guides the shift from reactive testing to a proactive quality engineering model, reducing defects and supporting scalable, reliable software delivery.
What You Will Do
- Testing Strategy & Standards: Define and manage a risk-based, shift-left testing strategy. Set quality gates, testing levels, and clear definitions of "done" for squads.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. Define pass/fail criteria, manage flaky-test quarantine policies, and oversee publishing of reports, logs, and screenshots.
- Test Data & Environments: Design and maintain strategies for synthetic and seeded test data. Supervise environment provisioning, versioning, and configuration management.
- Non-Functional Testing: Implement automated performance, reliability, and baseline security or vulnerability testing. Centralize dashboards for visibility.
- Observability & Reporting: Define and monitor quality metrics such as coverage, defect escape rate, MTTR/MTTD, and pipeline pass rate. Produce dashboards to support release readiness decisions.
- Tool Governance: Evaluate, select, and manage test management and automation tools. Oversee integrations with issue tracking and requirements systems.
- Cross-Platform Coverage: Ensure testing strategies address web, mobile (Android/iOS), and other platforms.
