We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance & Controls Engineer with a robust background in welding, fabrication, and industrial operations, particularly within oil and gas measurement projects. This role presents a diverse opportunity to engage across the DASS business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage document control for welding operations, including the establishment and oversight of a document database (DocMan).
Evaluate and provide guidance on vendor Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to ensure compliance with customer and technical requirements.
Review third-party Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections and support NDT operations on various projects.
Act as the primary liaison for various class and certification authorities (e.g., DNV) and customers regarding welding and fabrication matters.
Conduct site visits to vendor locations, including overseas projects, to audit and ensure compliance with relevant standards (BS/ISO/API/PED) and customer specifications.
Provide practical and technical QA guidance related to welding and fabrication to project engineering and operations teams.
Ensure that consumables and equipment used in vendor welding and fabrication are appropriately certified and maintained, as well as our internal equipment.
Develop and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications pertaining to fabrication, welding, coating, and PED/PER projects.
Assist in reviewing customer requirements to ensure they are met effectively.
Participate in establishing quality standards and defining quality procedures alongside operational staff and quality control inspectors.
Assume overall responsibility for the welding and fabrication quality assurance processes within the organization.
