Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a Quality Engineer specializing in Quality Improvement. This role is critical in enhancing quality performance throughout the entire product and process lifecycle, from conception to production and post-delivery support. The successful candidate will spearhead cross-functional initiatives aimed at identifying, prioritizing, and resolving quality challenges while implementing sustainable enhancements that boost reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. A proactive approach and strong ownership in executing improvement initiatives will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Utilize Lean methodologies (such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis) to eliminate waste and improve processes.
Employ A3 problem-solving techniques to analyze issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Align improvement projects with Policy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) goals and strategic objectives.
Analyze quality data and process metrics to uncover trends and drive improvements.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote process standardization and best practices.
Support internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ongoing improvement projects.
Educate team members on Lean principles, A3 thinking, and quality improvement tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles.
Proficient in quality tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Familiarity with A3 problem-solving methodology and an understanding of quality improvement processes.
