What You Need to Succeed:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry. Preferred third-level qualification in a Science-related field. Strong understanding of regulatory environments. Ability to build excellent working relationships through a hands-on approach. Sound judgment for making timely and effective decisions. Self-directed and motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to diverse audiences. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities. Leadership skills are a plus.

As a Quality Engineer at AbbVie Ballytivnan, you will play a vital role in documenting and establishing a quality system that ensures compliance with all regulatory and internal AbbVie standards. Your expertise will be key in assessing and reporting the quality system's performance to senior management. Collaborating closely with Quality Management teams and other stakeholders, you will drive advancements in quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving company objectives, fulfilling customer needs, and adhering to regulatory requirements set forth by the FDA, EU, and local health authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships with the Quality Systems Manager and quality personnel across Business Units.
  • Coordinate the quality system to ensure compliance with its requirements.
  • Evaluate quality system performance and present findings at management reviews and quality performance meetings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for various Quality System and Compliance activities, including training, documentation, metrics generation, and internal audit support.
  • Support inspection readiness through preparation, logistics, and management of corrective actions.
  • Uphold all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and policies.
