Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Wood Technology or a related discipline)BBA/MBA/MS in Total Quality Management (TQM) or Quality Management Systems (QMS)1–2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in wood or furniture manufacturingStrong understanding of basic QC principles and visual/dimensional inspection techniquesProficient at interpreting technical drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with woodworking materials such as MDF, solid wood, and veneerExperience using measurement tools (vernier caliper, measuring tape, gauges, etc.)Basic knowledge of CAPA, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and inspection report documentation

About the job

As a Quality Engineer at Interwood Mobel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality throughout the production process. This includes overseeing the quality of raw materials upon receipt, monitoring in-process manufacturing, and conducting thorough final inspections. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining Interwood's reputation for excellence and meeting customer specifications through precise inspection, detailed reporting, and effective collaboration with production and quality assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform in-process and final inspections on the shop floor, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, material specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  2. Analyze engineering and production drawings to pinpoint critical dimensions and tolerances, ensuring that inspections are in line with specified technical standards.
  3. Detect and document non-conformities during inspections, and work alongside relevant stakeholders to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  4. Maintain thorough documentation of inspection reports, checklists, and quality control documents in accordance with company protocols and regulatory audit requirements.
  5. Utilize measuring instruments accurately, verifying calibration status before use and promptly addressing any discrepancies with supervisors.
  6. Collaborate with the Deputy Manager QC, QC Inspectors, and production teams to ensure prompt resolution of quality issues and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives.
