Qualifications

Preferred education in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to use tools for assembly or disassembly. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Quality Management System software for equipment tracking and calibration status maintenance. Experience with metrology equipment, ranging from basic hand tools to CMM. Capability to author procedures that facilitate training for Quality and Manufacturing teams. Proficiency in working with data analysis tools and methodologies.

Your Role

As a Quality Engineering Technician, you will report directly to the Quality Manager. This position centers around the upkeep of metrology equipment that facilitates product analysis in both the Quality lab and Manufacturing. Additionally, you will enhance our RMA tracking system and conduct initial failure analysis.

Your Responsibilities

  • Document, track, and maintain calibration of all measurement equipment utilizing the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Create operational documents for equipment usage and provide training to the quality team.
  • Validate Quality and Manufacturing equipment through verification and maintenance of Golden Samples.
  • Lead the RMA and Failure Analysis process, analyzing returned or in-process products and documenting findings.
  • Perform root cause analysis or escalate RCA to resolve quality issues identified on the manufacturing line or through customer returns.
  • Assist in product/process qualifications, including trials, testing, and reporting activities.
  • Generate reports based on failure analysis to enhance product quality in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Engage in various special projects supporting the quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
