Position OverviewThe Stringer Operator plays a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of the Stringer machine, ensuring precision and quality in solar cell production. This position demands a blend of technical skill, production knowledge, and mechanical aptitude to maintain high standards of product quality, optimize equipment uptime, and achieve excellent first-time-through rates (FTT). The operator will be responsible for monitoring machine performance, utilizing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), conducting hands-on preventive and autonomous maintenance, and assisting with troubleshooting and minor repairs alongside maintenance and engineering teams. This position involves 12-hour rotating shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and oversee Stringer machinery, ensuring optimal function and throughput.Load materials and conduct visual inspections of solar cells to verify product quality against established standards.Utilize HMIs and numerical control (NC) equipment for machine operation, diagnostics, and basic troubleshooting.Perform hands-on preventive and autonomous maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of critical components.Identify and resolve basic machine faults to minimize downtime, escalating issues as necessary.Accurately document hourly production and performance data, reporting any deviations or abnormalities.Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to implement process enhancements and corrective measures.Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational protocols, maintaining a tidy and organized work environment.Assist in the training and onboarding of new operators on best practices for stringer operation and maintenance.Complete other tasks as assigned by the Lead Hand or Supervisor.
