Skills & ExperienceDegree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or comparable). Minimum of 3 years' experience in systematic equity trading with direct exposure to live trading environments. Strong grasp of market microstructure, order books, and execution dynamics specific to APAC markets. Demonstrated ability to analyze execution quality, market impact, and drivers of intraday performance. Proficient in programming and data analysis, particularly using Python and/or C++. Able to make informed decisions under pressure and manage multiple live priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills paired with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Located in the heart of Hong Kong, this pivotal role is crucial to production trading, focusing on maximizing profit and loss (PnL) through real-time monitoring, execution optimization, and agile feedback loops among trading, research, and engineering teams.

This hands-on position demands a proactive approach to managing day-to-day strategy behavior in live markets, requiring sound judgment in high-pressure situations and an in-depth knowledge of market microstructure.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute live high- to mid-frequency equity trading strategies across APAC markets.
  • Continuously monitor intraday performance, risk exposure, and execution quality while swiftly addressing anomalies.
  • Analyze execution fills, slippage, adverse selection, and market impact to enhance execution outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to translate innovative research ideas into robust trading behaviors ready for production.
  • Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot production issues, bolster system stability, and enhance trading infrastructure.
  • Contribute to post-trade analysis, performance attribution, and incorporate feedback into strategy iterations.
  • Ensure compliance with defined risk limits and adapt strategies to evolving market conditions.
