About the Role
We are currently inviting applications for Quantity Surveyors at various experience levels to contribute to a significant data centre project in Dublin. The successful candidates will oversee cost management and value optimization for their designated project elements. Success in these positions will hinge on the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to procure subcontract packages and manage essential project components.
About You
You will possess a proven track record in managing multiple subcontract packages while collaborating closely with client representatives to achieve business objectives efficiently. This role is perfectly suited for individuals who excel in ownership, are solution-oriented, and prioritize clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior project team members to procure subcontract packages and other critical project elements.
- Generate quantified work packages, Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and budgets from technical documentation.
- Analyze and present tender submissions.
- Prepare and finalize subcontract documents.
- Manage the commercial aspects of multiple subcontract packages from order through to final account, including monthly payments, variations, and claims.
- Continuously monitor costs and financial entitlements for the packages/projects under your management.
- Engage actively with clients, subcontractors, designers, and internal team members.
- Submit contractually compliant commercial documentation.
- Develop, submit, and agree on external valuations.
- Negotiate variations, omissions, and final accounts with subcontractors and clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Regularly report on costs, value, and cash flow.
- Proactively resolve conflicts when possible.
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements
- A relevant degree, typically with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of building construction and processes.
- Familiarity with various measurement methods.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate robust business relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional budgeting and financial forecasting skills.
- Experience with Buildsoft, CostX, or similar tools is advantageous.
- Prior experience in data centre projects is a plus.
